Paramount Pictures Names Courtney D. Armstrong as COO
Paramount Pictures announced Tuesday that Courtney D. Armstrong has been named chief operating officer for the studio. He will continue to report to Brian Robbins, Paramount Pictures’ president and CEO. In his new role, Armstrong will oversee all day-to-day operations across business affairs, legal and business development for the studio’s live action, animation and studio group divisions.
Ameriflight Names Patrick Fluegeman as New President and COO

Career hotelier Tom Nolan joined New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a hotel owner, operator and developer, as chief operating officer. Jeremy Buffam and Julian Buffam, partners in New Castle Hotels & Resorts, made the announcement. Most recently, Nolan was the managing director of Hyatt Hotels Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, S.C.

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith announced that Jason Demke has joined the staff as the new chief operating officer. Demke replaces Ryan Geib, who left Mercy Fort Smith to take the position of president of Mercy Southeast Communities in Missouri. Jason was COO for West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho, and was vice president of operations at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Va., according to Mercy.
