Target Names Michael Fiddelke as New COO

Michael Fiddelke has been named chief operating officer for Target. He served as the retailer’s CFO since late 2019, and he will continue to serve as CFO until a replacement is named. In his COO role he will oversee the company’s nearly 2,000 stores, the global supply chain network, fulfillment services, enterprise operations, network capacity as well as teams focused on building and remodeling store locations.

FirstBank Names Kelly Kaminskas as New COO

FirstBank, one of the largest privately held banks in the nation with a focus on “banking for good”, announced Kelly Kaminskas as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Kaminskas started her career at FirstBank 20 years ago. She served as President of Retail and Digital Banking before being promoted to CDO in 2022. As the newly elected COO, Kelly will lead the company’s treasury management, marketing, technology and retail operations.

Sweetgreen Names Rossann Williams as New COO

Sweetgreen has tapped as its new COO one of Starbucks’ most visible executives from the early days of the coffeehouse chain’s unionization effort. Rossann Williams was named COO, and she will be tasked with overseeing operations, real estate and development and supply chain for the Los Angeles-based fast-casual chain, which has about 220 units.

Exelon Corporation, the nation’s largest utility company, has announced the appointment of Mike Innocenzo as its new Chief Operating Officer. Innocenzo, who previously served as President and CEO of Exelon’s subsidiary PECO, will now oversee operations across all Exelon utilities.

Alpine F1 Team Names John Woods as New COO

The Alpine Formula 1 team has created a new chief operating officer role at Enstone that will be filled by former Group Lotus and McLaren Automotive man John Woods. Woods worked at Group Lotus for 11 years from 2005 in a variety of roles, including head of manufacturing. He was at McLaren Automotive as head of new model launch from 2016 to 2023, before returning to Lotus as manufacturing director in May last year.

Taco Bell Names Jason Kidd as New COO

Taco Bell has named Jason Kidd as global chief operating officer to succeed Mike Grams. Kidd most recently served as president of Hearing Lab Technology LLC. Previously, he held management roles at 99 Cents Only Stores, and Sam’s Club.

Fannie Mae Names Peter Akwaboah as New COO

Fannie Mae announced on Thursday the appointment of Peter Akwaboah as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Akwaboah, who is currently serving as COO for technology and global head of innovation at Morgan Stanley, has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He will lead Fannie Mae’s chief information office, enterprise operations, business resiliency, and enterprise workplace and security functions.

Tri Star Energy has named Steve Perry as its new chief operating officer. As COO, Perry will continue those responsibilities while also overseeing Tri Star’s facilities’ construction and maintenance department, as well as its supply and logistics team. He’ll also support the growth of company initiatives, such as Tri Star’s Twice Daily made-to-order food program, which launched in 2023.

Illinois State University athletic names Leanna Bordner, the University’s new Chief Operating Officer and Senior Woman Administrator.

“The COO position, I’m doing a lot of different things anyway, and (I will be) adding some things to my plate,” said Bordner, who is in her 31st year with ISU. “I will be supervising our Athletic training, strength and conditioning, and our sports nutritionist. Which the three of those positions are new to my responsibilities… My goal is to do what I can to take things off (Interim ISU Athletic Director Dr.) Jeri (Beggs) plate. So that she can do the things that she needs to do at that Athletic Director level. And again, internally and externally because there (are) things across campus that need to be dealt with and handled at a cabinet, a president’s cabinet level.”
