Sony Pictures Names Ravi Ahuja as New COO
Sony Pictures Entertainment is making a big change in its leadership. The entertainment studio has named Ravi Ahuja president and COO. Ahuja is taking on the new role “to work more closely with me and our entire leadership team as we chart our path forward through a rapidly changing and increasingly complex entertainment industry.”
Chicago Bears Names Karen B. Murphy as New COO
The Chicago Bears have announced the appointment of a newly created position within their franchise — Executive Vice President of Stadium Development and Chief Operating Officer. The Bears announced Karen B. Murphy was appointed to the position. In her new role, Murphy will work alongside Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren as Chicago’s NFL franchise moves toward establishing a new, long-term home stadium for the Bears. She will specifically handle areas like finance and accounting, stadium and event operations, building operations, information technology, purchasing and innovation.
Navy Federal Credit Union Names Kara Cardona as New COO
Kara Cardona has been announced as Navy Federal Credit Union’s next Chief Operating Officer. Cardona replaces Dietrich Kuhlmann, who recently succeeded Mary McDuffie as Navy Federal’s Chief Executive Officer. Cardona has nearly 25 years of experience at Navy Federal, the past three of which she spent as its executive vice president for Contact Center Operations and Greater Pensacola Operations.
Buffalo Bills Names Pete Guelli as New COO
The Buffalo Bills made a different kind of free agent acquisition, announcing the hiring of Pete Guelli as chief operating officer. Guelli will serve in the same role with the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, another property of Bills owner Terry Pegula.
Sterling Bancorp Names Christine Meredith as New COO
Sterling Bancorp Inc has announced the appointment of Christine Meredith as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company and its subsidiary, Sterling Bank and Trust, F.S.B., starting April 1, 2024. This strategic move was confirmed on Thursday after a decision by the Board of Directors. Christine Meredith’s promotion comes alongside her upcoming role as a director of both the company and the bank. She will be filling the board position vacated by Lyle Wolberg, who is set to resign on March 31, 2024.
Norfolk Southern Names John Orr as New VP and COO
